Purpose: Make sustainability a central pillar of DII’s value proposition, demonstrating to international markets that Irish digital infrastructure capability is delivered to credible environmental and social standards and articulate using science-based targets the decarbonization impact of digitization on Irish society.

Working Committee Scope

  • Energy: renewables, grid, PPAs, on-site generation, heat reuse, and efficiency.

  • Water, land use, biodiversity, and environmental impact across the infrastructure lifecycle.

  • Cross sectoral comparisons that facilitate fact based, intuitive materials targeted for consumption by non-technical recipients.

  • Carbon measurement, reporting, and reduction across scopes 1, 2, and 3.

  • Alignment with Irish, EU, and international sustainability frameworks and disclosure regimes.

  • Translating member sustainability credentials into a coherent DII narrative for global audiences.
