Working Committees
The nine DII Working Committees serve as the operating mechanism for converting members' capabilities into a trusted, collective voice, both nationally and internationally.
They are lightweight, advisory groups led by partner-appointed chairs, designed with focused memberships and defined annual plans to deliver tangible outputs without holding independent decision-making authority.
DII’s remit is expanding. Its long-standing focus on attracting inward investment to the data centre sector remains central and is now joined by a broader promotional role: representing the collective capabilities of its partners and positioning DII as a globally trusted advisor for those investing in digital infrastructure worldwide.
This includes the full digital infrastructure stack of connectivity, power, planning, spectrum, data centres, environmental considerations, in addition to the people and skills that underpin delivery, plus the wider ecosystem of partners, current and prospective, alongside adjacent segments.
The nine working committees set out below are the operating mechanisms through which DII converts members' capabilities into a trusted collective voice, both nationally and internationally. Each working committee is light by design, with a clear purpose, a defined scope, a compact, focused membership, a regular meeting cadence, and a defined annual plan for delivering tangible outputs.
Working Committee Charters
Export
Purpose: Champion Ireland’s indigenous digital infrastructure companies within the DII partner base, including those from engineering, construction, technology, professional services, and specialist supplier sectors, and make their capability visible, scalable, and exportable, positioning DII members as delivery-proven hyperscale partners in international markets, with DII serving as the conduit between the market buy side, and our partners supply side.
Outlook
Purpose: Give DII and its members a forward view of how emerging workloads and innovations will reshape demand for digital infrastructure, so members can anticipate the capacity, power, cooling, design, and skills implications and can continue position Ireland as the thought leader ahead of the curve.
Deploy to Decom
Purpose: Capture and showcase the operational excellence of DII members across the full asset lifecycle — deploying new digital infrastructure and retrofitting, upgrading, and re-powering and decommissioning of existing sites at scale. Highlighting to international investors that Ireland is delivery-proven, and DII partners are delivery-proven throughout the world for all stages of the digital infrastructure lifecycle.
Sustainability
Purpose: Make sustainability a central pillar of DII’s value proposition, demonstrating to international markets that Irish digital infrastructure capability is delivered to credible environmental and social standards and articulate using science-based targets the decarbonization impact of digitization on Irish society.
SheConnects
Purpose: Grow SheConnects into the leading community for the advancement of women across Ireland’s digital infrastructure sector, providing DII and its partners with a credible, evidence-based perspective of inclusion across the industry so partners, international clients, future graduates, employment prospects and investors see a sector that strives to attract, retain, and advance diverse talent.
Talent & Skills
Purpose: Ensure Ireland’s digital infrastructure sector and DII members operating internationally can attract, develop, and retain the skills and people needed to deliver at scale, and position that talent base form Ireland as a distinct competitive advantage in DII’s proposition to the global markets.
