ABOUT THE ROLE
To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Junior Technical Author located in Dundalk, Ireland.
Reporting to the Head of Engineering, the Junior Technical Author role involves creating test documentation for use with the inhouse developed iOS Engineer App in both Microsoft Word and Adobe PDF form formats, in accordance with Anord Mardix drawings and testing schedules. This element involves the extensive use of Anord Mardix’s Vision database and coordination of data therein, particularly during service tag requests. Clear lines of communication will be established with the production teams and project management in Ireland and the UK during this process and workload managed accordingly to meet the company’s demanding production schedule.
What a typical day looks like:
Validate and request equipment service tags via Vision.
Produce electronic test documentation templates for iOS Engineer App use.
Generate Factory Acceptance Test (FAT) documentation.
Write and compile Operation & Maintenance Manuals and Training Manuals.
Technical Report writing.
Build and maintain relationships with key internal personnel.
Daily liaison with production teams to monitor, improve processes and resolve deficiencies.
Assist in employee training, development and engagement.
Product Library Management.
The experience we’re looking to add to our team:
Relevant 3rd Level qualification; Electrical trade background would be advantageous.
2+ years electrical manufacturing experience - not mandatory
Excellent communication skills.
A team player with a positive attitude towards work and staff engagement.
Self-motivated, proactive with an eye for improvements and problem solving.
Excellent PC skills, particularly Microsoft office & working knowledge of AutoCAD.
Proficient in the understanding of electrical engineering drawings.
Operate with a high level of attention to detail.
Working knowledge of Power Switchgear and Control gear assemblies would be advantageous.
Possess a driving licence and have willingness to travel between sites in Dundalk
Eligible to work in Ireland (EU).
