ABOUT THE ROLE
PSE are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented “Dublin Based Safety Officer” to join our
team in Dublin. This role is based in our Citywest facility and will report directly to “Chief
Operations Officer”. The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance
with health and safety regulations, promoting a strong safety culture, and implementing
best practices across all operations.

Key Responsibilities:
Regularly review and update Risk Assessments, Safe Operating Procedures, and Safety Statements.
Conduct Safety Induction Training for all new employees and subcontractors, maintaining proper documentation.
Carry out site inspections, audits, and safety compliance checks to ensure adherence to company and statutory requirements.
Investigate, record, and report accidents, incidents, and near-misses, ensuring corrective actions are implemented promptly.
Monitor and enforce the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times.
Identify and coordinate mandatory safety training requirements for staff and subcontractors.
Review subcontractors’ safety documentation and ensure compliance with company standards.
Attend and contribute to regular Health & Safety meetings.
Maintain accurate safety records and prepare reports for management and insurance purposes.
Requirements
Education: Relevant 3rd level qualification in Health & Safety or related discipline.
Experience: 3–5 years in a similar role, preferably within construction or industrial environments.
Strong knowledge of Irish Health & Safety legislation, including the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Act.
Proficiency in risk assessment, incident investigation, and safety audits.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and promote a positive safety culture.
Computer literacy (MS Office Suite) and ability to prepare detailed reports.
Professional certifications such as IOSH or NEBOSH are highly desirable.
