Location: Citywest, Dublin or Newcastle West, Limerick
PSE is now seeking a skilled and experienced professional to join our team as Electrical Estimator. This role can be based in our Citywest or Newcastle West facility and will report directly to Director of Sales.
This position works alongside both the Commercial and Construction Teams to provide the highest quality estimations and advice.
The Senior Electrical Estimator will be an exemplar ambassador for the company and its values; integrity, dependability, safety, pride, quality.
Role and responsibilities:
Document Analysis: Review and interpret project drawings, specifications, and tender documents to understand project scope and contents.
Cost Estimation: Develop accurate and timely cost estimates for electrical projects, including labor, materials, equipment, and subcontractor costs.
Supplier and Subcontractor Liaison: Obtain quotations, clarify technical queries, and maintain relationships with suppliers and subcontractors.
Quantity Takeoffs: Perform detailed quantity takeoffs to calculate the amount of materials and labor needed for a project.
Budget and Cost Control: Work with project managers to develop project budgets, track costs, and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Software Utilisation: Use computerized estimating programs and databases to input data, track prices, and manage bids.
Bidding and Proposals: Draft scope letters and proposals, support the tender process from enquiry to bid submission.
