Mitchell McDermott secures investment from MML Ireland to fuel expansion

Irish construction consultancy Mitchell McDermott has announced a new partnership with private equity firm MML Ireland, in a move designed to accelerate its growth and strengthen its European footprint new chapter for a company rich in tradition
The deal, which involves a significant investment from MML Ireland, will support Mitchell McDermott’s expansion plans in the data centre (DC) and residential sectors, both in Ireland and across Europe.
Financial terms of the transaction have not been disclosed.
Founded in 2015 by Paul Mitchell and Anthony McDermott, the Dublin-headquartered firm has grown into one of Ireland’s leading construction consultancies. It operates offices in Dublin, Limerick and Amsterdam, with additional activity in the UK, Germany, Spain and Malaysia.
The company employs a data-led approach to deliver cost, project and development management services across multiple sectors. Under the new partnership, Mitchell McDermott’s existing management team will remain in place, continuing to execute the firm’s growth strategy, which has seen strong expansion in recent years. Co-founder Paul Mitchell said the backing from MML Ireland represents an exciting step forward for the business. “We look forward to expanding our capabilities with the support of MML Ireland,” he said.

MML Ireland, which invests in mid-sized Irish businesses with strong growth potential, said it was drawn to Mitchell McDermott’s sector expertise and ambition.
